The history of Buddhism

Just imagine for one second about wanting nothing, how would you feel? Calm?, relaxed? , satisfied? , unpleasant? Well that is normal for people who has Buddhism religion they would be very cheerful because they do not want anything. This is my report about the religion of Buddhism and it’s history. There is a person who made the Buddhism religion work and his name is Buddha.

Buddha was actually Siddhartha Gautama than he became Buddha. How did Siddhartha Gautama became Buddha? Well it all began that Siddhartha Gautama lived his life in comfort and pleasure and his father was the king. As he grew up he knew that suffering exists, and it made him confused, he wondered,: How could they be saved? So he went on a journey to find the answers. On the way he meets some holy men and they advised him that giving up all pleasure and comforts will releases him from suffering. Siddhartha tried this and it did not work. Finally he wanted to rest and he did, he sat under a Bo tree and meditated. He did this and he emptied his all thoughts and took a big effort to concentrate. Successfully he got an idea about Buddha.

The religion spread because of Buddha too. He thought everyone from China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Sri Lanka. Wonder how? It all began from the king in India in the third century named Ashoka and he became a Buddhist. Then he sent Buddhist teachers from the whole world and sent them to China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Sri Lanka. Buddhist spread for the next 500 years. After Buddha some one else need to be him but not replacing, his name is Dalai Lama and now he is the leader in Tibet and Buddhist in Tibet believe that he was a living Buddha.

Most of the Buddhist people live in East Asia and Sri Lanka. Buddhism now can be found all over the world and even in Canada and the United States. Buddhism now is also finding new followers in India because it once dried out of Buddhism.
